 Registered as a limited liability company. Initial operations commenced in Ja-Ela 40 km north of Colombo.

Grant of approval from the Board of Investment as a duty free venture.
Sri Lankan entrepreneur Mr. Anurath Abeyratne acquired 80% of the stake of the company.
The factory was relocated to a site in Kalutara, which is the present location.
Eu-Retec entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Solitec GmbH & Watts Industrial Tyres Plc.
Watts Industrial Tyres Plc - UK bought 50% of the stake of the company through its own subsidiary company.
Awarded ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certificate.
Nominated as the Gold Award Winner of the industrial sector, at the NCE Export Awards 2005 organized by National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka.
Nominated as the "Runner Up" in the most outstanding exporter of the overall national category at the NCE Export Awards 2005.

Won a merit award "Achiever of Industrial Excellence" at the CNCI Janashakthi Export Awards 2006 organized by Ceylon National Chamber of Industries.
